Abstract
This research project provides an investigation of the impact of the reward management approach on employee productivity at Pinks Parlour. To do so, a mixed methods approach was used to the research, in the form of an online questionnaire and interview, the data collection tools can be found in the appendices.
Results of data analysis showed employees are very satisfied with Pinks Parlour as an employee, further analysis showed employees are also satisfied with the reward system at Pinks Parlour, in particular data from the questionnaire showed the reward with the most success is the employee of the month scheme.
Overall, the report has shown Pinks Parlour provide a supportive environment for its employees, and the reward system at Pinks Parlour is greatly appreciated by its employees. However, the interview raised some areas where improvements can be made.
The researcher made the following recommendations:
1. Changes to the Employee of the Month Scheme
2. Implementation of Employee of the Year Scheme
3. Creation of Annual Social Gathering
The research also recognised there was limitations with the methodology used. These limitations include employee productivity is not measured quantitatively at Pinks Parlour therefore some conclusions are difficult to make. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, changes were made to elements of the methodology, therefore not all data was available to the researcher.
